What Does ‘Reapplication Pending’ SASSA Status Check Means?

There are a variety of responses you could see once you do a SASSA R350 grant application status check. One of these could be ‘Reapplication Pending’ and you might be needing further clarification about what this means, we’re here to help.

Once you’ve submitted your SASSA R350 grant application, you might then do a SASSA status check. This SRD status check will tell you at which stage your application is at.

You might then see ‘Reapplication Pending‘ as your SASSA status. Here’s what that means and what you need to do after.

This means that there was no application or reapplication received by SASSA. 

What steps should you take next then? 

Well, you will then need to submit your R350 grant application through srd.sassa.gov.za. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the SASSA SRD website
  1.  to apply online 
  2. Enter your mobile number
  3. Click “send sms” 
  4. Then enter the one time pin that SASSA has sent to the number 
  5. Continue the application process by filling in the steps required by SASSA. 

In order to access or to have the application reconsidered for the Social Relief of Distress Grant, an applicant must grant consent for SASSA to verify his or her identity, residency, income or social security benefits.

Applicants will also need to accept the declaration and consent.
