If you’re getting a ‘Bank details pending’ as your R350 grant application status, this means that your application, or reapplication, has been received. However, you haven’t submitted bank details or preferences for how your R350 grant payment should be made.
So what do you need to do then?
All you need to do is submit your banking details using the SASSA SRD website
. Here’s how:
- Go to srd.sassa.gov.za
- Submit your ID Number.
- An SMS containing a secure link will be sent to the mobile phone number with which you registered during application.
- Click on the link in the SMS and follow the instructions carefully.
The R350 grant can be paid through a bank account, Post Office or cash send.
Once you’ve been approved, it’s important to remember that there is no set SRD grant payment date.

SASSA has said that if your application has been approved, you will receive payment for it. You do however then have to wait for an SMS notification of payment from SASSA.
