International students from all over the world are invited to apply for the Seoul University Scholarship, 2021 in South Korea. This scholarship is an opportunity for students to pursue a Master’s, PhD, MPhil, and Master’s leading to PhD in all academic fields & majors. There are different scholarship types available at Seoul University for students.

Benefits:
Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students(GSFS):
- Tuition fee: full tuition fee waiver for a maximum of 4 semesters.
- Living expenses: 500,000 KRW monthly(subject to change according to recipients’ majors).
Silk-Road Scholarship:
- Tuition fee: full tuition fee waiver for a maximum of 4 semesters.
- Living expenses: up to 600,000 KRW monthly for 4 semesters.
- Airfare: up to 1 million KRW for one economy round trip.
- Korean language training fee: fee waiver at the Language Education Institute.
Overseas Koreans Scholarship:
- Tuition fee: full tuition fee waiver for a maximum of 4 semesters(Only when conditions are met).
- Living expenses: Up to 900,000 KRW monthly for 4 semesters.
- Airfare for one economy round trip.
- Korean language training fee: fee waiver at the Language Education Institute for 6 months.
- Medical insurance subscription(private company).
Korean Government Scholarship Program(KGSP/GKS):
- Tuition fee: full tuition fee waiver for a maximum of 4 semesters for a master’s program and 6 semesters for a PhD program.
- Living expenses: Up to 900,000 KRW monthly.
- Airfare: one economy round trip.
- Korean language training fee: for a year.
- Korean language training is mandatory and when the student does not achieve TOPIK grade 3 within a year, she/he is not eligible to enter the degree program.
- Others: medical insurance, research fund, thesis printing fees, settlement, and return expenses.
Documents Required:
- Personal Statement and Study Plan.
- Two Letters of Recommendation from two different referees.
- Official Bachelor’s Degree Certificate and Transcript.
- Official Master’s Degree Certificate and Transcript.
- A copy of the Applicant’s Passport.
- Official Documents indicating the Applicant’s Nationality.
- Copies of Both Parents’ Passport.
- Official Documents indicating Both Parents’ Nationality.
- Official Document indicating Parent-child Relationship between the Applicant and his/her Parents.

- Applicants & their parents must not be citizens of Korea.
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree for a Master’s or Combined Master’s Degree.
- Applicant must hold a Master’s Degree for PhD programs.
- Proof of English Proficiency.
